Licensed Animal Technician

We are recruiting a licensed animal technician to join our client base in Exeter. Our client is the fastest-growing UK Research facility with some of the world’s most influential scientists. It is a rapidly expanding centre of excellent international research. They offer a salary of £26,000 and a relocation package if needed.

As a Procedural/Licensed Technician, you will work in the research facility with rodents. You will assist with animal experimentation and monitoring and be expected to train new and existing staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with animal experimentation and research
• Helping to prepare and submit study plans
• Record keeping, such as animal and laboratory records
• Supporting the facility with daily husbandry tasks
• Be one of the critical members of staff to be responsible for medicines
• You will be required to use your license for experimental procedures actively

Job Requirements:

• PIL License Holder (Modules A-C)
• IAT Level 2 qualification
• Previous experience in training staff members
• Previous experience working in a rodent research facility
• BSc or higher in Biological Sciences or equivalent degree
