Advanced anaesthesia for surgical or prolonged procedures

May 11 May 13

This unit provides information on the use of anaesthetics for surgical procedures. It also includes information on the use of anaesthetics to provide humane restraint during other, non-painful, procedures, such as imaging. After completion of this module, learners should have an understanding of factors influencing the selection and application of anaesthesia for these procedures. Online only – 11-13th May 2026. Pre-course materials will release two weeks in advance. We highly recommend completion of the level 5 unit Anaesthesia for minor procedures before attending this unit.
